What Is Snap2Pan?

Snap2Pan is an AI-powered web app that helps you figure out what to cook using ingredients you already have. Take a photo of your fridge, and our AI identifies what's inside and suggests a complete recipe — from ingredient list to step-by-step instructions — in seconds.

No more staring into the fridge wondering what to make. No more throwing out produce because you ran out of ideas before it went bad. Snap2Pan bridges the gap between "I have stuff" and "I made dinner."

How It Works

1. Snap a photo — Open Snap2Pan and take a picture of your fridge, pantry, or any collection of ingredients.
2. AI identifies your ingredients — Our AI (powered by Claude) scans the image and builds a list of what it sees. You can edit the list to add or remove anything.
3. Get a custom recipe — Snap2Pan generates a full recipe tailored to exactly what you have, including ingredients, portions, and step-by-step instructions.
4. Save your favorites — Found a recipe you love? Save it to your account so you can come back to it anytime.

Our Mission

Food waste is a massive global problem. An estimated 30–40% of the food supply ends up in the trash. A big part of that happens at home — vegetables that go limp before anyone thinks to use them, leftovers that get forgotten, ingredients bought for one recipe and never touched again.

The Technology

Snap2Pan uses Claude, Anthropic's AI system, for both ingredient recognition and recipe generation. Claude is one of the most capable AI models available today, with strong vision capabilities and a deep understanding of cooking, nutrition, and flavor combinations.

This means the recipes Snap2Pan generates aren't generic templates — they're thoughtful suggestions that consider the specific ingredients you have, how they work together, and what would actually taste good. The AI understands that garlic and olive oil go better with pasta than they do with fruit salad.

Snap2Pan works in both English and Spanish, and is available as a web app on any browser, as well as native apps for iOS and Android.

Subscription Plans

Snap2Pan offers a free tier that lets you scan your fridge up to 3 times per day and save up to 10 recipes. For heavier users, Pro ($3.99/month) increases scans to 15 per day and removes the save limit. Pro+ ($7.99/month) offers unlimited scans and advanced features.
